Ideally suited for commercial and industrial applications, where space is of a premium, our plug-in type switchboards offer excellent performance in a compact and flexible design. By utilising our System 50 modular enclosure design, we can offer fast turn around in our engineering department to any non standard customer requirements ensuring a speedy delivery. Our form 4 (EN 60 439-1 IEC 439-1) switchboards feature outgoing feeders which are easily adaptable for future system growth, ensuring the long service of the switchboard and further eliminating the possibility of premature obsolescence. The plug-in system is ideally suited to factory production lines, building services or plant uses where load requirements may vary from time to time. The addition or re-sizing of feeds can be carried out with no interruption to any other outgoing feeders. ConstructionSturdy riveted construction using our own in-house System 50 design. Consists of high quality, press-formed and welded component parts, manufactured from cold reduced, 2mm thick steel. Finished in semi-gloss, polyester powder coat. We offer a standard colour of RAL 7032 (Light Grey). Alternative finishes and colours are available upon request. In standard form, switchboards are constructed to allow front operation with both front and rear access to cable terminations. However, the construction of the board allow full access for connection and maintenance from the front only. Protection ratingIP31 in standard form. Greater levels of protection can be achieved by fitting overall doors and / or covers. Additional doors or covers can be glazed upon request. In standard form, rear access is required for maintenance when an ACB is fitted. BusbarsThe busbar rating per switchboard column is 800 amps. Busbars are totally enclosed to the sides and rear and shielded at the plug-in face to IP-20. Busbars are manufactured from HDHC copper and electro tin plated after forming. Outgoing Fuseswitch WaysSlim type switchfuses are installed into housing modules with 10 slots of switch space. Switchfuse units occupy either 1, 2 or 4 slots depending upon their rating. An insulated neutral bar runs vertically inside the cable way and is half-rated as standard. A fully rated neutral is available on request. Bolted neutral links are provided on all module units. Each link is rated at 400 amps providing full neutral rating to the maximum sized (400Amp) outgoing feeder. To install a new outgoing way, the simple addition of a fuseswitch and mounting kit is all that's required. Outgoing cable access is provided at both the top and bottom of the switchboard. Gland plates are fitted accordingly. OptionsBus coupler sections. We must stress that this type of switchboard is totally flexible.
